Blog # 8- Free Topic China One Child Policy

Dear Ms.Malonek,
                             Ever since I first knew about the Once Child Policy that China has I was super confused. First of all how did this start, i mean like who got the idea of starting and what was their intention. Why would they only limit the people to one child. i dont like the fact that people can only have one child. Also dont they have like people who brake the law and have more than one child ? And if people lie and have more than one  child , then how in the world will the government keep a updated census count of their population. This is quite confusing

#7 Letter to Government

 

Dear U.S Government,
                                   First of all let me introduce myself to you, I am a fellow citizen whose name is Jorge L. Catalan and I am a resident of Alhambra, C.A. I am attending Alhambra High School and currently in the 11th grade. Right now in my class we are debating an issue concerning if the government should have a child birth policy where the U.S government has a policy restricting couples only having certain amount of kids. Personally i am against this. I think that the U.S should not get involved unless the measures are called for. I think that if there is not a major problem where we are extremely short of supply then the U.S should not get involved. An example, China has a one child policy where they limit each married couple only one child. I honestly think that it is unfair to the people. Also, if the government restricts it then it only means that the people will be more tempted to have more than one child and the government will lose the census count of the U.S population. So in conclusion, unless you are really forced to you should not have a birth policy in the U.S for the sake of the American people.

Blog #6 What are two ways a population can grow even if the birth rate declines?

Immigration-

Immigration to the U.S definitley increases its population in large amounts of numbers. Immigration does not have nothing to do with the variable of birth rate. Immigration has always been a big deal with the U.S. So when a natural disaster happens in another country or even if war breaks out in another country U.S gives the people the chance to come in the U.S. So for Example, if a big earthquake happens in Mexico and they are in great danger many Mexicans would come to the U.S and that would significantly increase the population.

Death Rate-

Another situation where birth rate decline but population can grow is if there is a less mortality rate. So if less people die there will be more people that are alive so that will make it more likel for them to grow up and live longer

Blog #5 Habitat destruction has been linked to the loss of many species

This too many loggers may seem like a picture of money. All they see in the picture is that with all those logs they can go sell them and be even more rich. But to someone who has a concern for Enviromental problems we see in the picture the horrid destruction of many many species that were destroyed in the process of logging. And for all we know there could have been a rare species in their but now we may never  know. Or even maybe their was an important animal that was playing a significant role in the ecosystem , but now nothing is left to find out. Now a days we see logging

as a normal thing. What people dont realize is that they are destroying homes. Not peoples homes but animals and animals have the right to keep their home just as anybody else would, i dont think the loggers would like if all of a sudden a big truck comes and destroys their home. I think the forest is the most vulnerable because this is where most of the logging happens. How is it affecting species? Well it is by making them not having a home no more . If this logging continues then the only species we will see is the ones in the picture in the right GET ME ;)

Blog # 4- biome interact with species.

This is the rain forest biome. It has a lot of species living in it. It is very populated with several kind of animal species. Although these species may seem that they have and live in their own seperate world, well its not true. The species and the rain forest biome have an important interaction with each other that plays a significant role in order for them to survive because in their special way they both help each other to survive.





Interaction Species to Rainforest Biome-  The rain forest has a lot of natural habitats that it gives to the animals. For Example, the animals protect their home which is the rain forest so it helps
protect the rainforest from other animals coming in and destroying the important parts of the rain forest.

Blog # 3 ;Parts of the river.

The riparian river has five major parts to it. Each of the parts has a significant importance to the river itself and to the surrounding enviroment. The five major parts are the low flow channel, bank full channel, floodplain, riparian zones, and the main river channel.

 -The Low Flow Channel-This part of the river is where water always flows, even in the dry years there is still water flowing.

-Bank Full Channel-This is the part where water flow mainly occurs during wet seasons

 
-Floodpain-This is the main area where the river floods, so when floods happen they happen here.

Blog # 2: Visiting a BIOME

Although there are several different exotic biomes that exist, that are very intersting to visit i rather choose something different. I have this weird desire to visit a dessert biome. Most people will find it boring but actually the dessert can be very intersting when you go into depth of whats happening.

Although to the naked eye the desserts seem boring because it looks so plain. But in reality there is a lot going on and that we cant see. Although there is not much living things that move in a dessert there is still living organisms that interact with each other to survive. For example cactus is an intersting plant that is found on the dessert quite often.The cactus survives being in the dessert by holding in as much as water as possible. For example the Saguaro Cacti can store up to one ton of water.
